The Beginning

2019

One of the first pizzas at the Alpine House

Alpine Pizza Company was born out of a house in West Vail, Colorado on Alpine Drive. The Chef/Owner Colby Lefebvre began researching pizza and found a love. After years of trial and error he finally released his creation on friends at a dinner party. During the dinner party, after quite a few cocktails, someone yelled Alpine Pizza Company and there it began.

Colby threw many more of these pizza dinner parties and created an instagram as a joke. This is when he realized that it wasn’t a joke and that the Vail Valley was craving for a new pizza option. He began offering pizzas for pick up from his house.

After just a few weeks of giving the locals access to APC Covid hit. The World shut down including the restaurant he was running. With no work and no restaurants, Colby felt the locals needed more pizza and he ramped up production. After selling out within seconds of posting that he had pizzas available he knew he needed to find a space.

The Location

September 2021

Colby tried for over a year to find a viable space to run a small pizza place in Vail, Co. In May 2021 Dennis Foley, owner operator of Bart and Yeti’s, called Colby and said he had the location next door to Bart’s as an option for a pizza place. This began the partner ship. With Dennis’ 35 years in Lionshead operating Bart and Yeti’s and Colby’s 16 years operating restaurants in the Vail Valley, they have created a unique eatery for locals and tourists alike.
